Innovation & Transformation Manager

Job Location: Ojota, Lagos

Job Type: Full-time Contract

Reports To: Operations Director

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced results-oriented Transformation Manager to lead innovative and positive change initiatives. This manager will be responsible for leading restructuring initiatives for business operations.  The Manager will be responsible for guiding and supporting their team to ensure high performance, promoting a positive work environment, and driving productivity. The ideal candidate will have a proven leadership track record, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. Key Responsibilities:

  • Change Management: Lead and manage change management efforts to support smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and technologies. Conduct training and workshops to build capabilities within the organization for effective transformation.
  • Strategy Development & Execution: Identify key areas for improvement and lead efforts to redesign processes, systems, and technologies and ensure alignment of transformation initiatives with company goals and objectives.
  • Project Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of transformation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making: Identify issues and areas of improvement, and implement effective solutions. Make informed decisions to mitigate risks and improve operations.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between management and staff, fostering open communication and ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Resource Management: Oversee the planning, allocation, and optimization of resources (personnel, materials, and equipment) to maximize efficiency while minimizing waste.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess production processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement. Implement Lean or Six Sigma methodologies where applicable.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on performance metrics, operational updates, and financial status for upper management.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related fields.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role, with 2 years of experience in a production/sales company.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to all levels of the organization.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in [relevant software/tools] and understanding of industry-specific technologies and processes.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment and lead the team through transitions.
  • Languages: English(required), Yoruba(desired), Igbo(desired). 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or related certifications.
  • Experience with accounting/inventory software such as zoho.
